The Culture
Ayiana Hair was founded in 2020 by Ayiana Randolph, who transformed her personal hair journey into a brand rooted in education, quality, and care.
Growing up with mixed hair, Ayiana struggled to find products that truly worked for her texture. At just sixteen years old, she began creating her own—driven not by trend, but by necessity.
Based in Redwood City, California, Ayiana Hair is built on three generations of hairstyling expertise. What began with Ayiana's grandmother was passed down to her mother, and now continues through her—forming a legacy grounded in resilience, artistry, and community.
Today, Ayiana Hair offers professional-grade products and services designed for all hair types, with a specialized focus on enhancing and nurturing wavy textures.
Community and culture are at the heart of everything we do. As a proud Mexican-owned, women-owned brand, Ayiana Hair honors its heritage through Talavera tile-inspired designs featured on every bottle. We remain committed to giving back—supporting local schools, families, and the communities that continue to support us.
Real hair care. Real ingredients. Cosmetologist-backed. Women-owned.
Our Mission
At Ayiana Hair, our mission is to nurture your hair through professional expertise, intentional ingredients, and education-driven solutions.
We believe hair care should be thoughtful, effective, and rooted in purpose.
About Ayiana
At just 22 years old, Ayiana Randolph is an entrepreneur, licensed cosmetologist, and content creator redefining what it means to build with purpose.
As a third-generation hairstylist, she has been immersed in the beauty industry her entire life—growing up in the salon, surrounded by creativity, discipline, and community.
After graduating high school early in 2020, Ayiana pursued cosmetology at Paul Mitchell The School in San Diego. That same year, she launched her first product line—stepping into entrepreneurship at a time when the world was facing unprecedented uncertainty.
Following a deeply personal period of loss in 2022, Ayiana stepped back to heal and realign. In 2023, she moved to Los Angeles, where she used her platform to advocate for causes close to her heart, including naloxone awareness at music festivals.
By 2024, she returned to the Bay Area, reconnecting with her foundation and refining her craft at her family's salon, The Beauty Lounge, and Halo Blow Dry Bar in Burlingame.
Now, in 2025, Ayiana is back in San Diego—reviving Ayiana Hair with renewed purpose, creative direction, and deep gratitude for the community that has supported her journey.
She believes the most meaningful chapter of Ayiana Hair is still ahead.
Our Hair History
It began in 1975 with a dream.
When Chela Aguilar immigrated to the United States, she carried little more than determination and an unwavering belief in herself. With no roadmap and no safety net, she stepped into the beauty industry and built something from nothing.
What started as a single salon chair became "Chela's Hair Design"—a space known not only for its iconic styles, but for its sense of community. It wasn't just a salon. It was a foundation.
That foundation would grow into a legacy spanning three generations.
